Nottingham Forest suffered a 2-1 home defeat to Hull City on Wednesday and fell out of the playoff places. The Reds have now dropped points in three of their last four games and supporters are losing patience with a number of players in the squad.

Jack Robinson is one of them. The 26-year-old has been a regular at left-back this season but has struggled for consistency. Robinson doesn’t affect the game enough in the final third and often gets exposed defensively. He was guilty of playing Jarrod Bowen onside for Hull’s second goal in midweek too.

Against the Tigers, Robinson played for 79 minutes, made 73 touches, won two aerial duels, made six clearances, created one chance, had one shot, made one interception, completed 66.7% of his 39 passes, whipped in four crosses, made two tackles, had one successful dribble and picked up a booking for his troubles.

The Englishman has made 11 appearances in all competitions this season, making one assist. It’s worth noting that Forest boast a 100% win-record in the three games Robinson has missed – Birmingham City (August 17), Fulham (August 24), Stoke City (September 27) – and have only won 30% of the games he’s featured in.
