Relax guys, panic over, nothing to see here.

That was pretty much the message that Sabri Lamouchi wanted to give to supporters when it came to the fitness of winger Joe Lolley.

Lolley was taken off at half-time during Forest’s win over Bristol City on Wednesday night and replaced by Nuno Da Costa having appeared to suffer an injury, something that led to a lot of panic from the Nottingham Forest fans in the aftermath.

However speaking to Nottinghamshire Live after the game, the Frenchman said that everything was all routine and that it was merely a tactical decision to replace Lolley:

“He felt a small pain. But like usually with Lolley, it was a tactical choice. I am sure Lolley could have played a better second half, like the others. But when you have that performance, you need to do something. I had it in my mind to make changes, but one was the minimum – just to wake up the dressing room and wake up the players, because we played the wrong way.”

Should Joe Lolley start against Derby on Saturday?

Yes

Yes

No

No

So it looks as if everything is going as it should be.

Which given how important this Saturday’s game is going to be, a chance to put ourselves ten points clear of the team in 7th place (who we just so happen to be playing, as if an East Midland Derby isn’t already important enough) is very good news.

Lolley has been in excellent form for the Reds this season, contributing 17 goals and assists, second only behind Lewis Grabban, and he’s one of the players that we’re going to have to rely on heavily in these last few weeks of the season.

What about you? Are you satisfied with Lamouchi’s answer to the question?
