Q – How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?
Over 50 years –
September 1956: 1-1 Home to Lincoln City.
Q – What is your most memorable moment as a Forest fan? Good or bad.
Best:
Coming back to win 3-2 after being a goal down at HT in 79 League Cup Final v Southampton at Wembley; storming second half in which Gemmill and Birtles tore em to shreds. My missus was there which was quite rare. Didn`t know it at the time but she was pregnant with our first child who is now a staunch Forest Fan.
Worst
Losing 5-0 to Southampton in a 2nd 6th FA Cup Replay at White Shite Lane. Forest of Div 1 were thrashed by a Div 2 team. Had a bad effect on an impressionable 13 year old!
Losing 1-0 to Wolves in the 80 League Cup Final courtesy of dreadful defensive cock up between Shilts and Needham.
Q – Since you have been following Forest, what would your best eleven? And who is your all time favourite player?

Bear in mind I`m trying to pick a team to win. Gary Birtles, Trevor Francis, Terry Hennessey, Steve Stone, Steve Hodge miss by a whisker and my one major regret here is that, after much agonizing, I couldn`t find a place for Nigel Clough. All subs though.
Favourite Player: Ian Storey-Moore. A magical player – 105 goals in 235 appearances, and at a time when forwards had no protection from the hatchet men. He had an almost unique mix of strength, speed and skill that had you out of your seat as soon as he had the ball in a threatening area. Would love to see how he got on in the modern game.
Q – What would you say is the best goal you have seen Forest score?
It`s a tie for me:
Ian Storey-Moore for his goal against Arsenal (27 Dec 1971) – in front of 42,000 at CG. We were relegated that year and the weak Forest management transferred him mid way through the season but he still managed to score 16 goals often playing as a lone striker having the sh*t kicked out of him.
(The transfer debacle at the Baseball Ground was a classic – BC paraded him as a d*arby player – but Ian eventually signed for Man U, and was never forgiven by BC as far as I know).
Archie Gemmill, strangely enough again at home to Arsenal in Feb 1978. They were just getting back in the game after Forest had gone it at HT 1-0 up courtesy of a Needham header. With Forest under some pressure, Archie picked the ball up on the edge of his own penalty area switched the ball out left to Peter Withe. Both then ran 60 yards hell for leather through a heavy pitch before Withe crossed for Gemmill to slide into the net through the mud before Arsenal could realize what had hit em. It was a key moment. One of our main challengers – Super Mac and co – left the CG day gutted and we knew the title was ours for the taking.
Q – Best away ground visited?
Arsenal (not again!)
Q – What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?
Improve the City Ground to 42,000 – must be able to do it somehow.
Q- Which player(s) would you like to see us sign (realistically)?
Oakley. Whittingham. Bunn, a quality centre back – not sure who though, hard to find. Love to see Marlon Harewood back in the Garibaldi.
Q – What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare to your expectations?
I thought we`d get play offs at best. Actually drank a toast to the demise of Colin over Christmas Dinner but now elated he`s proved me wrong. Magic!
Q -What are your expectations for next season in the Championship?
Challenging for play off spot – somewhere between 5th and 10th.. but got a sneaking feeling we could go all the way.
Q – Where do you sit at the City Ground?
Various.
Q – Name the celebrity you would most like to bang.
