Forest striker Marcus Tudgay has today joined Championship rivals Barnsley until January 2, as an emergency loan signing.

Sean O’Driscoll told the official site. “Marcus is an excellent professional and great to have around the place. But understandably he wants to be playing on a regular basis and that`s something we cannot guarantee him. I`m sure it will be successful.”

Tudgay joined the Reds’ in January 2011, after a successful loan spell from Sheffield Wednesday. The loan to Barnlsey has been described as ‘with a view to a permanent deal.’ His last action in a Forest shirt, was to bag the winner in the reserves 2-1 win over Derby County yesterday. Good luck Tudders!
