After a week of turmoil off the pitch at the City Ground, it will be good to get back to business on the pitch and the chance to do that is this evening, as 5th placed Coventry come to town to try and put a halt to our 26 game unbeaten home run in the League.
Despite losing 3-2 at home to Leeds at the weekend, the Chavs are flying high this season and will provide a stern test for Billy Davies and the lads.
Former Forest loan signing Gary McSheffrey should be on show tonight and although things never worked out for him here, he’s doing OK with the Sky Blues since joining them on a free in the summer. The winger/striker has netted 4 times in the last 6 games and would love to put one over us for sure.
Amidst all the off field shenanigans at the club, it would be nice for the City Ground faithful to show their backing for the manager from the stands tonight, but opinion is split amongst supporters over who is right and who is wrong, in this ongoing saga between manager and chairman. I’m throwing my lot in with the manager for now, but the longer it goes on, the less sympathy you have for either. This is the 1st of 2 tough home games at home this week, with table toppers QPR on Saturday.

The Reds’ were dealt a blow with news that captain Paul McKenna will be missing due to family problems. Kelvin Wilson is also out of contention with a back injury.

Defender and joint top scorer Ben Turner will be missing, due to suspected knee ligament damage.
