Joe Lolley has quickly turned into a man who needs little introduction following his move to Nottingham Forest.
The 26-year-old was plucked from the non-league and Kidderminster Harriers by Huddersfield Town after impressing at semi-professional level, and he had a reasonable time of things at the John Smith’s as they won promotion from the Championship into the Premier League.
Having been let go for an officially undisclosed fee, he arrived at the City Ground last January, and he’s been quickly impressing people since.
He now has 28 starts to his name, with a further nine showings from the substitutes bench and in those games he’s returned eight goals across all competitions so far, and he’s clearly a reason why we are battling at the right end of the Championship table under manager Aitor Karanka.
With another dull and boring international break hitting November, we sit just a point outside of the Play-Off spots and we headed into the lull unbeaten in four.
Whilst I’m sure the players are making the most of a short rest, Lolley does appear to be focused on Hull City when football returns, especially in light of his apology at not taking victory against Stoke City.
⚽️Strong run, great finish!

Not too shabby at all, and Player of the Season is already arguably between him and Lewis Grabban – Grabban was wearing the white for the game and found the back of the net himself to see the scoreline end 1-1.
