Q – How long have you been following Forest and what was your first game?

I’ve followed Forest since 1963 when I attended my first game, which was against Wolves and we won 3-0. I sat on the wall at the front of the Spoin Kop.

Q – What are your most memorable moments as a Forest fan? Good and Bad.

There are so many, but winning the European Cup has to be way up there. I was in the Navy at the time so I couldn’t get there and I had to watch it live on tv surrounded by a mixture of fans from around the country. To be fair, they all rooted for Forest. My Dad and brother were at the game and I was really jealous, but in the end, winning was all that mattered.

For purely memory value, I will never forget the FA Cup Quarter Final versus Everton in 1967. The Ian Moore hatrick and wining 3-2 is something I will never forget.

The bad memories I try to forget, but being present at the Hillsborough Disaster is one that won’t go away.

Q – Since you have been following Forest, what would your best eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Without doubt, Ian Storey Moore was my role model. As a teenager when he was in his prime, he’s the person I always wanted to be when playing on the local park.

My best eleven:
Peter Shilton
Viv Anderson
Stuart Pearce
Des Walker
Liam O’Kane
Archie Gemmill
John McGovern
Johnny Metgod
Ian Storey Moore
Stan Collymore
Brian Roy

Q – In your opinion, what is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

Johnny Metgod, versus West Ham. Can’t remember the year, but it was from about 40 yards out and went in like a bullet.

Q – Best and worst away ground visited?

The best was Old Trafford, and that was even before the increases in capacity. The worst was probably Oxford or Orient.

Q – What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

Build it. I understand the reluctance at leaving the City Ground, but after a few years that’ll be just a memory. We can’t extend it so let’s build something new to be proud of.

Q – Which player(s) would you like to see us sign this summer(realistically)?

That’s a hard one. Being across the pond I don’t see so much of the players from other clubs. I’ll trust Billy for now.

Q – All seater stadia. Good thing, or a bad thing?

Now that I’m getting older I think it’s a good thing, but years ago I really loved the atmosphere in the Trent End.

Q – What are your thoughts on how Forest did last season and how did it compare to your expectations?

I tried to keep my feet on the ground, but towards the end of the season I was very hopeful. Having said that, we did far better than I dared hope for and we’ll be much stronger next season as long as the right players are signed.

Q – What are your expectations for next season in the Championship?

I think it’ll go pretty similar to the season just gone. Maybe a slow start and then improving steadily. The difference is likely to be that we’ll sustain it into the new year and eventually pull away like WBA and NU did.

Q – What League position will Forest occupy at the end of the 2010/11 season?

Top.

Q – What’s your opinion of Billy Davies and what he’s done at NFFC, since his arrival?

He’s a mischievous little man and certainly not afraid to upset people. If he was at an opposing club I’d probably hate him, but while he’s running Forest I love him. He knows exactly what he is doing and everything is cool and calculated. That’s what makes him so good.

Q – Acquisitions Panel. Good thing or bad?

There has to be some kind of control over finances. Many clubs are now in trouble because of free spending, so if it has to be one or the other, I’d say good, but it needs to work better than it has.

Q – Where do you sit/stand at the City Ground?

I used to be high up in the Executive Stand opposite the tunnel, but when I left for the USA I gave my ticket to my brother. He has since moved lower down in the upper tier and that’s where I sit with him when I get to games now.

Q – Name the celebrity you would most like to bang.

Demi Moore (does she read this?)
