Mr. Michael Oliver from sunny Northumberland gets the gig for the Carling Cup 4th round tie at the City Ground, between Forest and Blackburn Rovers.

So far this season, Mr. Oliver has officiated in 8 games, in which he’s lavishly dished out 27 yellow cards and 1 red.

Despite his love of cards, he isn’t the worst at his job. Last time he took charge of a game involving the Reds’, was last seasons’ 2-1 home defeat to Norwich. He tried to give us a helping hand that day, by reducing the Canaries to 10 men, after Gary Doherty scythed down Nathan Tyson en route to goal. But because of our own ineptitude in that game, we threw the chance away.

He will be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. P. Bramley and Mr. P. C. Martin. The 4th official is Mr. K. D. Hill.
