Stoke City defender Danny Collins has today agreed a deal to sign for Nottingham Forest and becomes the second summer signing for new manager Sean O’Driscoll.

News broke within the last hour via Fawaz Al-Hasawi’s now infamous twitter account, with the signing being announced as official on the NFFC website shortly after. It’s the second time this week that Fawaz has broken news on his own personal twitter account, having previously announced that Adlene Guedioura had signed from Wolves.

Collins joins the Reds’ for an undisclosed fee, but it’s believed to be around the £500,000 mark.

The 31 year old Welsh international can play at either centre half, or left back and has made over 50 appearances for the Potters. Welcome to the City Ground Danny Collins.
