Season Over For Tyson

Tyson received his latest serious injury in the Bank Holiday Monday game with Rotherham. The striker was replaced at half time in the 1-1 draw. It was revealed that he has ruptured the medial ligament in his left knee. This now leaves the Reds with a sadly depleted frontline, with only Lester and Grant Holt fit.

Junior Agogo is out for the season and Scott Dobie is still recovering. This could see Spencer Weir-Daley earn a recall from his loan spell at Bradford. Either way it’s a serious blow to the Reds promotion campaign.

The club has said that although it is the same knee that was injured on the opening day of the season, it is a completely different injury. Tyson will miss the last four games of the season and any part the club plays in the playoffs.
