According to Football League World, Jorge Grant will be loaned out from Nottingham Forest this summer and already has two League One clubs interested in his signature – Lincoln City and Oxford United. With Grant only getting interest from one division below, it’s clear he’s not at the Championship level.

The 24-year-old has been short of playing time at Forest, making only 20 appearances in all competitions since joining the club from the Nike Academy in 2013. Grant is out of contract in 2020 and is unlikely to be handed a new deal given his last appearance for Forest came against Wolverhampton Wanderers on December 17, 2016.

The midfielder has embarked upon four loan moves away from Forest in the last two years – Notts County (January 31, 2017 – May 31, 2017) (July 20, 2017 – May 31, 2018), Luton Town (July 6, 2018 – January 7, 2019), Mansfield Town (January 14, 2019 – May 31, 2019). Lincoln or Oxford could be his next destination.

Grant hasn’t played Championship football for two years and has been bouncing around League One and League Two during his loan spells. It’s hard to see him having a future at the City Ground, but whether they can sell him this summer remains to be seen.
