“He says he is not worried about performances or our quality, if we are all focused then we can achieve something incredible. That is the aim so hopefully it can stay that way.”
Nottingham Forest attacker Sammy Ameobi says his side will be given the opportunity to do “something incredible” if they can overcome Barnsley at Oakwell on Sunday afternoon.
Ameobi’s spectacular brace in a 2-2 draw with Swansea in midweek, combined with results elsewhere over the course of this weekend, mean that a draw will be enough to secure their place in the Championship play-offs this season.
But with Barnsley themselves needing a result to avoid having their relegation confirmed this weekend, Ameobi says manager Sabri Lamouchi has made sure his side are under no illusions as to the challenge they face in Yorkshire.

Speaking to Nottinghamshire Live about the task they face on Sunday, and the importance of securing that play-off place sooner rather than later, Ameobi said: “You saw them against Leeds and they gave them a really tough time.
“No game is easy in the Championship but with the quality that we have in this team, if we match their drive and their fight I believe our quality will show through and hopefully we can do that.
“Nobody wants the pressure on the last game, so we will try and get over the line on Sunday and start thinking about the play-offs when it is done.”
Discussing the approach his side will take to the game, and the chance that could emerge for them if they get through it unscathed, Ameobi continued: “It is imperative to stay calm and the manager is always talking about our state of mind and making sure we are focused.
