Nottingham Forest may be on the lookout for a bargain this summer as we look to further strengthen our team.

TransferMarkt have revealed as many as 70 players whose contracts are coming to an end in the summer and there is no better opportunity to take advantage of bringing in one man from Leicester City.

Former Red Wes Morgan led the Foxes to a famous Premier League win for the first time in the club’s history under Claudio Ranieri, which is arguably the greatest moment in the league’s history.

It would no doubt be an emotional return, who spent 10 years at the City Ground during the first half of his career at his boyhood club. After scoring 13 goals and providing two assists in 380 appearances for us (as per TransferMarkt), he is more than capable of making a return to us this summer.

Would you like to see Wes Morgan at Forest?

No

Some might question his salary demands. I feel that this won’t be an issue. Not only because  Forest is the team that he supports, but he is on £60,000-a-week at Leicester, as per Spotrac. He has proven that he is a wonderful leader, receiving huge praise for his character by manager Brendan Rodgers.

The same discussions have taken place for Liverpool’s James Milner to return to his beloved Leeds United and would take a pay cut in the process to ensure that the move went through, according to Football Insider.

This is why I strongly feel that we have a really good chance of reuniting with Morgan. Even better if he was to wear the captain’s armband for us in the Premier League. Yes, it would be cruel on Michael Dawson but it would be the right thing to do.
