Official: Nottingham Forest without eight players ahead of Hull clash, one doubtful

|

Nottingham Forest have confirmed they will be without eight players for Saturday afternoon’s meeting with Hull City – Jack Robinson (suspension), Michael Hefele (achilles), Tobias Figueiredo (leg), Michael Dawson (hamstring), Sam Byram (knee), Juan Rafael Fuentes (knee), Hillal Soudani (knee), Lewis Grabban (achilles).

Matty Cash (achilles) is doubtful, however, and could play if he’s passed fit in time. Pele, Molla Wague, Karim Ansarifard, Joao Carvalho and Diogo Goncalves all featured for Forest u23s against Bristol City on Monday and will hope they’ve done enough to earn a place in the first-team.

Robinson is serving the first of a two-match ban after picking up ten yellow cards. Hefele has been ruled out for the season with an achilles injury. Figueiredo & Dawson are expected to return later this month. Byram is back in training and could make his comeback before the season finishes.

Fuentes is unlikely to play for Forest again. He’s recovering from a serious knee injury and was only kept on for another 12 months so he could undergo rehabilitation at the club. Soudani has been posting positive injury updates, but Martin O’Neill recently admitted he’d be surprised if the striker returned before the season finished. Grabban still hasn’t recovered from an achilles injury.
