The EFL have confirmed Jack Robinson will miss Nottingham Forest’s next two league games against Hull City (March 9) and Aston Villa (March 13) through suspension. The 25-year-old picked up his tenth yellow card against Stoke City last Saturday and has now incurred an automatic two-match ban.

It’s a blow for Martin O’Neill as Robinson has been a regular at left-back this season, making 32 Championship appearances and contributing four goals. He’s likely to be replaced by Ben Osborn or Saidy Janko. It’s the second time that Robinson has been suspended after he picked up a second yellow card against Middlesbrough on October 6, missing Forest’s meeting with Norwich City two weeks later.

The Reds come into this weekend’s clash off the back of two wins and a draw from their last five games. Forest are ninth in the table with 50 points from 35 games, four points adrift of the playoffs. They boast four wins from their last five home games and face a Hull side who have lost their last three away outings.

Victory for O’Neill’s men could see them go within a point of the top-six if results go their way. It’s worth noting Hull are locked on 50 points in the Championship too.
