James Perch is enjoying one of his best seasons to date with Forest and recently had his good form rewarded by being given the Captains armband.

Today there was even more good news for the Forest midfielder, as he put his name to a shiny new two and a half year contract that will keep him at the club until 2011.

Perch told the official site. ‘I was coming towards the end of my contract and I’m delighted everything has been sorted. I always knew Forest wanted to keep me and that I was going to stay if they offered me something. It was just a case of getting my head down and waiting for the club to make me an offer. Billy Davies is an ambitious man and wants to take Forest into the Premier League and I want to be a part of it. I know I’ve made the right decision and couldn’t be happier.’
