Norwich City defender Elliott Ward could end up spending a second loan spell at the City Ground, if manager Alex McLeish gets his way.

Ward made 12 appearances for the Reds’, in his two and a half months on Trentside and McLeish sees him as the ideal man to shore up our at times fragile defence.

Ward signed a 2 year deal with the Canaries, when he signed from Coventry in 2010 but has since fallen out of favour at Carrow Road.

McLeish told the official site. ‘We are looking at Ward. That is a situation that is on-going. We are talking to Norwich about that one. We want to get him back, it is possible, but it depends on the kind of deal that can be done.’
