Jack Robinson impressed for Nottingham Forest in their 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night and was lauded by supporters for his performance. The 25-year-old was deployed in a more familiar left-back role and delivered an all-action display in defence to keep Albion at bay.
Yates and Robinson were impeccable today, well done to the squad. Gave the back away poorly on occasion but it looks like everyone is settling in let’s keep driving on, nothing else to lose now #NFFC #COYR #nffc

Happy to see Robinson back at LB and two regular CBs in the team. Only concern is that both Milo and Benalouane like to call the shots #nffc

Draw away from home is always better than a loss. Nevertheless we were robbed, poor judgment by the ref, complaining unfortunately won’t change the result. Delighted for Yates! Also top performance by Robinson #NFFC #COYR #nffc

Colback and Robinson were superb for #NFFC, Harper looked a real talent for #WBA. Missed opportunity for them tonight, but they struggled against a disciplined resolute away performance.

Robinson made eight tackles, two interceptions and nine clearances at the back. He made 20 passes, had a 75% completion ratio and made 48 touches. Since joining on a free transfer from Queens Park Rangers, he’s been a regular in defence this season, making 29 Championship appearances for Forest.
He’s operated at left-back and centre-back under both former manager Aitor Karanka and Martin O’Neill and has 18 months left on his deal. Robinson has led a nomadic career, playing for the likes of Liverpool, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Blackpool, QPR and Huddersfield, but he may have finally found his feet at the City Ground.
Supporters were delighted with his performance against the Baggies and will have been impressed with most of his showings for Forest this season. The Reds are currently ninth in the Championship with 46 points from 32 games, sitting five points adrift of the playoffs.
