Nottingham Forest picked up their third clean sheet in the Championship after beating Barnsley 1-0 on Saturday and Brice Samba was lauded by some supporters for the part he played in the Reds’ shut-out. The 25-year-old has impressed since replacing Arijanet Muric in goal and was resolute between the sticks on the weekend.

Samba joined from SM Caen in August and has gone on to make six appearances in all competitions for Forest, conceding just two goals and keeping four clean sheets. He hasn’t shipped a goal in the league for 230 minutes and is becoming a fan-favourite already. The last goal Samba let in was more than three weeks ago.
Forest are enjoying an outstanding start to the season under Sabri Lamouchi. The Reds finished the weekend sixth in the table with 15 points from eight games and have picked three wins and a draw from their last four. After suffering defeat their opener to West Bromwich Albion, Forest haven’t lost a game in any competition since and aren’t conceding many either.
Samba has certainly played his part in that, as he’s enjoyed shut-outs in 67% of his appearances so far.
