Nottingham Forest have today announced that midfielder Jonathan Greening will wait until the summer to have an operation on a troublesome ankle injury.
Through a badly worded statement on the official site, manager Steve Cotterill explained. ‘We can’t play him back-to-back-to-back ? it’s not ideal. His problem is probably a little bit worse than what we actually thought but he’s quite a brave boy and a good lad and he’s going to stay around for as and when we need him.’
The 33 year old has made 32 appearances for the Reds’, since signing from Fulham in the summer. Greening is just one member of a growing injury list that includes, Higginbotham, Elokobi, Miller, Cohen, Moloney, Anderson, Tudgay and Derbyshire.
