It’s one of the many stages of being a football fan over the summer.

After the fixture lists have been released, and the players come back for pre-season training, then waiting for the kits to be released.

Well, today Nottingham Forest completed that last step, by releasing the new away kit, going for a simple half and half design, with the club describing the colours as royal blue marl and navy marl.

Just as an aside, do you guys remember the good old days when kits used to last for two years rather than be replaced every twelve months? It’s almost as if the clubs are obsessed with making as much money as they can out of the fans, and we know that can’t be true. Can it?

After the largely negative reviews that the home shirt got back in June, the club appears once again to have let a large section of the fanbase down with this design, with a lot of fans saying the new kit lacks originality. I wonder why?

They weren’t all nasty towards the kit though, some actually thought it looks quite nice, even if there’s a good chance they’ve got a very similar one to it back at home.
