We’ve been so relentlessly busy in the transfer market; it has been difficult to keep up with proceedings. That said, we’re continuously linked with new arrivals, and rumours linking us with a move for Peterborough’s Jack Marriott fails to cease.
As Nottinghamshire Live reports, talks are still ongoing between Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest over a potential move for Jack Marriott. The striker enjoyed a tremendous breakthrough season last campaign, and he could be on his way to the City Ground in the foreseeable future.
Here’s how Forest supporters have reacted to the speculation on Twitter.
I wouldn’t have thought we would still be in for him, we just signed 2 forwards and we still have Brereton.. we only play one up front so I doubt it

We could never have too many goal scorers playing in the championship you come up against different teams and different styles of play so I would take a stab at him .

Yes. Get him in.

Verdict:
Without question, Jack Marriott is tremendously talented, and he flaunts superb potential. His remarkable total of 33 goals in all competitions last season is illustrative of his qualities as a prolific striker, and at the age of 23, he has the potential to become a truly excellent player. That said, following the arrivals of Soudani and Grabban, another striker isn’t a priority at the moment.
