We’ve been so relentlessly busy in the transfer market; it has been difficult to keep up with proceedings. That said, we’re continuously linked with new arrivals, and rumours linking us with a move for Peterborough’s Jack Marriott fails to cease.

As Nottinghamshire Live reports, talks are still ongoing between Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest over a potential move for Jack Marriott. The striker enjoyed a tremendous breakthrough season last campaign, and he could be on his way to the City Ground in the foreseeable future.

Here’s how Forest supporters have reacted to the speculation on Twitter.

Without question, Jack Marriott is tremendously talented, and he flaunts superb potential. His remarkable total of 33 goals in all competitions last season is illustrative of his qualities as a prolific striker, and at the age of 23, he has the potential to become a truly excellent player. That said, following the arrivals of Soudani and Grabban, another striker isn’t a priority at the moment.

What are your thoughts? Do you agree? Let us know!

One Reply to ““Get him in” – Majority of Forest fans are keen on signing 33-goal sensation”

  • Ideally I’d love him, even if it was only as an impact sub when the two older strikers we’ve bought look to be flagging a bit at the end of games. Either one could get injured too, so a quality replacement would be great. Murphy is already past it IMO and Brereton’s raw talent needs a lot of polishing before he’s let near the first team again. He needs to go out on loan, be cashed in on, or used to make the deal cheaper for Marriot. They seem to have a knack for bringing young players on and I just can’t see him thriving at Forest in Karanka’s preferred lone striker formation
