Unless it’s just me, I can’t see where Nottingham Forest have confirmed this deal but Motherwell have announced the arrival of Gboly Ariyibi on a loan spell until the end of the 2018/19 campaign.
Having come through Southampton and Leeds United’s youth setup, his first proper break came at Chesterfield and he made the switch to Nottingham Forest in January 2017, but to date, he’s still to make an appearance for us.
He’s had two loan spells out in recent seasons with MK Dons and Northampton, and he now heads north of the border to try his hand in the Scottish Premiership.
There’s no talk of this being a loan to buy deal but I think it would now be a surprise if the United States Under 23 international actually returned to the City Ground as after this amount of time without even making his debut, I would imagine we’re ready to move on and he’ll want to start really getting some games under his belt but I believe he’s contracted up until 2020.
