Match Facts & Stats

Stats: Both teams lost their opening day fixtures but had differing levels of success in midweek in the Carling Cup, While Forest were going down 2 – 1 to Bradford in extra time Leeds had no trouble in brushing aside Lincoln City with a comfortable 4 – 0 home win.

There have been 74 league meetings between these two teams before, Leeds have the slightly better record have won 25 against Forest’s 21 wins.

Ref Watch:

Tony Bates of Staffordshire will take charge of this fixture, in his two games so far this season he’s issued 5 yellow cards & no red. He last took charge of a Forest game in February which the reds lost 1 – 0 to coventry, although it will be remembered more for being the 1st Championship game to be reffed by a woman after Mr Bates got a boo boo & had to go home. His last game involving Leeds was back in December 2008 when they went down 3 – 1 to MK Dons in game where no cards were issued.

He will be assisted by Mike George of Norfolk & Paul R Marsden of Lancashire

Forth Official will be Jock Waugh of South Yorkshire

Match Prediction:

Forest picked up where they left off in their last championship game with an away defeat, so I’m going for them to continue their excellent home form here with a 2 – 0 victory
