Mr. Anthony Bates from sunny Staffordshire gets the gig, for the game between Forest and Leeds on Sunday (KO: 1.15pm).
It’s the first home game of the season for the Reds’ and it’s live on the telly box as well. That means it’s a trip to the barbers for Batesy, to ensure he looks his Sunday best for the cameras.
The last time Master Bates had the privelege of taking charge of a game involving Forest, it was the 1-0 away defeat to Coventry last season. He also took charge of the 4-2 home defeat to Watford earlier in the campaign, so he’s not been much good to us of late.
He officiated in 36 games last season and dished out a whopping 106 yellow cards, but only the 1 red.
He’ll be ably assisted on the lines by Mr. M. George and Mr. P. R. Mason. The 4th official is Mr. J. Waugh.
