Lewis Walters has returned for a second loan spell at National League side Barrow, according to the Nottingham Post.

The 22-year-old signed a new deal to remain at the City Ground in the summer, but we have yet to see him make a first team appearance despite having moved from Leeds over 18 months ago.

Whether we will see him playing for us any time soon remains an open question. He has been a regular for the Under 23s but he has had a number of injuries which have curtailed his playing time.

He first made the loan switch to Barrow back in December, but he managed just three appearances because of fitness problems. Still, he did impress in one particular match, providing two crucial assists in a 2-1 over Woking, but he had to be taken off before half time in that game.

The forward/winger will be hoping he can stay fit, and play an important role to help his new side avoid the drop in the National League. Do you think the youngster still has a long term future with us?
