TYPE LINK TEXT HERENathan Tyson hit a 10-minute hat-trick as leaders Nottingham Forest returned to winning ways with a 4-1 triumph at Crewe.

Colin Calderwood’s men had gone three games without a victory but goals from Grant Holt and Tyson’s triple had this game wrapped up by half-time.

Gary Roberts levelled Holt’s opener from the spot to offer Crewe a brief hope but Forest were too strong in every department for the Railwaymen.

Only the far post stopped Nicky Southall’s volley opening the scoring in the fourth minute.

Grant Holt went close with a volley in the 17th minute before the striker fired Forest ahead with a sweet curling 31st-minute shot.

But the Alex were level four minutes later when Wes Morgan bodychecked Nicky Maynard in the box and Roberts struck the penalty home.

Three minutes later a Julien Baudet mistake give Tyson the simplest of finishes.

Two minutes before the break Tyson headed home Grant Holt’s cross and the striker was first to react to the rebound from John Curtis’ shot to complete his hat-trick on the stroke of half-time.
