Yuri Ribeiro was one of many players hailed by some supporters after impressing in Saturday’s 1-0 win over Barnsley. The 22-year-old has impressed for Nottingham Forest since his summer move from Benfica and was outstanding over the weekend too.
Against Barnsley, Ribiero played a full 90 minutes, made 83 touches, won four aerial duels, created two chances, had one shot, completed 65.1% of his 43 passes, whipped in two crosses, made one tackle, drew three fouls and made four clearances.
Another fine performance from you Yuri 👍

Forest finished the weekend sixth in the Championship table with 15 points from eight games. The Reds have picked up 10 points from their last four outing and have the third-best defensive record (6) for their troubles.
Ribiero has certainly played his part in that too, having helped keep consecutive clean sheets since replacing Jack Robinson at left-back. He’s made a total of four appearances in all competitions for Forest, boasting a 100% record and having yet to concede a goal in 360 minutes of action.
Sabri Lamouchi is spoilt for choice in defence and appears to be getting the best out of his summer signings.
