Robert Earnshaw says that if he scores against the Reds’ today, he will not be celebrating with one of his trademark backflips, out of a mark of respect for Forest fans.

Earnshaw spent 3 years at the City Ground, following a £2.65m move from the Sheepdip in 2008. He scored 35 goals in 87 appearances for Forest and became a favourite on the terraces in that time. He rejoined his boyhood club Cardiff City this summer on a free transfer.

Talking to BBC Wales, Earnshaw said. ‘I’ve got total respect for Nottingham Forest and I wouldn’t celebrate. I think it would be a little bit disrespectful. All the fans have still got respect for me and I’ve still got great friends there. I’ve only got great things to say about the club.’
