Nottingham Forest enjoyed a 1-0 win over Brentford on Saturday with Ben Watson scoring the winning goal. He volleyed a Joe Worrall knock-down into the back of the net and was outstanding throughout the weekend encounter.
Against Brentford, he played a full 90 minutes, made 68 touches, completed 88.5% of his 52 passes, made four interceptions, created one chance, made two tackles, scored one goal for his two shots and made three clearances.

The 34-year-old has been one of Forest’s best performers of the season and has played in every Championship game so far, racking up 970 minutes of football from a possible 990.
Despite having competition in midfield from Samba Sow, Alfa Semedo, John Bostock, Tiago Silva and Claudio Yacob, Watson has been a regular under Sabri Lamouchi and is earning his place on merit.
As per WhoScored, the Englishman has scored and created three goals in his 11 appearances, has blocked 23 shots/passes/crosses, created nine chances, won 40% of his aerial duels, has a 67% dribble success rate and averages a tackle (30) or interception (17) every 20 minutes.
Forest’s 1-0 win seems them sitting second in the Championship ahead of the international break. They next travel to face Wigan Athletic on October 20.
