As the transfer deadline window neared, Nottingham Forest confirmed that two players had headed to Notts County and Shrewsbury Town on loan deals until the end of the campaign.
Jorge Grant was the first, and having spent most of the 2016/17 campaign playing for the Under 23 set up at the club he made the switch to Meadow Lane to continue his development under Kevin Nolan in League Two.
Fellow midfielder Ryan Yates spent a period earlier in the campaign with non league side Barrow and he now makes the step up to League One football with a spell at the Greenhous Meadow arranged for him.
Hopefully both players will enjoy their spell out and do well.
