Dorus de Vries has become the 3rd brand new Nottingham Forest signing of the summer with the 32 year old Netherlands keeper signing a 2 year contract at The City Ground.

Nottingham Forest become the sixth club in a 14 year career, totting up 413 appearances to date. The 6 foot 1 inch stopper had his most successful spell with Swansea where he notched up 194 appearances in all competitions & set a club record of 25 clean sheets in a single season winning him the Championship Golden Glove for 2009/10..

His recent 2 year spell with Wolves saw him mainly used as back up to either Wayne Hennessey or Carl Ikeme when he made just 15 starts.

Despite his recent spell without football he is a highly experienced player & will add some much needed competition to our current set of young inexperienced goal keepers and could used as either a calming influence in the first team or a guiding hand for Darlow & Al-Rashidi.

Whatever your role is with Nottingham Forest this season Dorus, welcome aboard.
