Calderwood Relieved With Draw

Forest showed great character and spirit last night when they managed to overturn a two goal deficit at The New Den, but once again it calls into question the sides worrying away form, after the 2-2 draw.

Calderwood told the official site. ‘We have mixed emotions, because there is a sense of relief that we have taken something from the game and got our reward for some very good play.’ He will have concerns though about the way the goals were conceded. The first was from a rash challenge from Perch on the edge of the area and the second was a gifted pass from Bennett. Both individual errors that nearly cost us the game.

They do deserve credit for a great fightback, but the fact remains that we have only won once in the last nine games away from home. That is something CC has to address and soon.

The table shows us sitting in second place. But we’re level on points with Carlisle and they have a game in hand over us. We are eight points behind Swansea and they also have a game in hand over us. With the home game against Bristol Rovers being postponed, it means that depending on results at the weekend, we could drop down to sixth. The table won’t look quite so attractive then.
