Teenage sensation Lewis McGugan has signed a new three and a half year deal, that will keep him at the City Ground until 2011.

McGugan is still only 19 years old and is one of the best prospects at the club. He only made his first team debut last season, but has become an integral part of the first team and in a short space of time has come a long way.

He told the official site. ‘There was no hesitation in my mind that I wanted to sign a new contract when Forest offered it to me. I can’t ask for anymore than the security of a long term deal behind me as I look to progress my career.’

This will be a much needed boost for the fans as well as the club. He is undoubtebly one of the best things to come out of the Academy in some time and follows in the footsteps of the likes of Dawson, Jenas and Reid, to name but a few. There’s also the added bonus of a big fat wad of cash if he’s sold.
