Loads of Nottingham Forest fans sent their heartfelt messages to celebrate what would have been Brian Clough’s birthday.
The legendary manager, who passed away in 2004 at the age of 69, would have had his 85th birthday and achieved many great things with us.
Clough led us to back-to-back European Cups in 1979 and 1980, making us only one of eight clubs that have ever retained Europe’s top prize along with Liverpool and Real Madrid.
The club’s official Twitter account sent a message to Clough, won the championship in 1978, four league cups, a Super Cup and a Charity Shield during his time with us.
Is Brian Clough the greatest manager of all time?
Yes
No
As a result, supporters were emotional and left their heartfelt messages on social media. One fan said that he was going to cry after discovering the club’s post.
