Today is the day that many of the Nottingham Forest faithful have been waiting for.
It’s the day that the fixtures for the new Championship season have been announced.
With Aitor Karanka keen to see his side make an impact in the promotion race this season, it is essential that Forest get off to a good start.
Successful promotion bids normally require a more than solid start, the foundation on which a successful season is built.
Bearing that in mind, we’ve plucked the first five Championship fixtures of the 2018 / 2019 season off the list, five fixtures that read:
• Bristol City (a)
• West Bromwich Albion (h)
• Reading (h)
• Wigan (a)
• Birmingham City (h)
It’s a real mixture of clubs, one relegated from the Premier League, one promoted from League One and three clubs who will, quite probably, share the same aspirations for the coming season s we do.
But, and here is where we’d like you all to get involved, what kind of start do you believe Nottingham Forest will get off to, points-wise?
With fifteen points available from the opening quintet of fixtures, what’s your prediction for a points tally?
I reckon we should if our promotion ambitions are to be realised, take at least 10-points.
But what is your analysis of the situation?
Please feel free to drop your points tally from those first five fixtures into the comments facility beneath this article.
