Yohan Benalouane was full of praise for Alexander Milosevic, calling the Nottingham Forest defender “a good player” and “tough”.
Benalouane has made seven Championship appearances since joining Forest on an 18-month deal from Leicester City and has formed a formidable partnership alongside Milosevic at centre-back.
Milosevic has made six Championship appearances since joining on an 18-month deal from AIK. He’s been on the losing side just once in his last five league games and has kept two clean sheets in three.
Benalouane said to Nottinghamshire Live: “I have a good relationship with (Milosevic). He is a good guy, a good player and he is tough. Obviously we have to know each other well and there is still time to work on that, because we have only played four or five games together.
“After a lot of games together, we will understand each other even better and it will be better for the team. We will get better with every game we play together.”
Forest are currently ninth in the Championship table with 50 points from 35 games this season. The Reds have picked up eight points from their last five outings and are just four points adrift of the playoffs.
Only Middlesbrough (24), Sheffield United (34), Bristol City (36) and Leeds United (38) have conceded fewer goals than the Midlands outfit, with Michael Dawson and Tobias Figueiredo impressing at the heart of the defence during the first-half of the season, and Benalouane & Milosevic impressing in 2019.
Forest welcome Hull City to the City Ground on Saturday afternoon and could go within a point of the playoffs if results go their way over the weekend.
