Oh the good old days.
Well before we used to go through a managerial merry go round every year or so, and back when we were somewhat competitive in the Premier League for a couple of seasons. Those are the abiding memories that I get from the club’s latest post.
They tweeted out that Monday was the 27th anniversary of the day Frank Clark took charge of the club after we had just been relegated from the top flight and Brian Clough had resigned from his position as manager.
Clark though would take the club from the then first division to claim back to back top ten finishes in the Premier League, and taking us to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Cup, winning 73 of his 178 matches in the dugout at the City Ground.

The tweet gave fans an opportunity to talk about his time at the club, with many of them incredibly nice towards him.
