Caretaker head coach Paul Williams has said he’s very wary of the threat that Fulham’s front line will post Nottingham Forest, but he’s confident our own threats in the game can trouble their leaky defence enough to take all three points from this weekend’s trip to Craven Cottage.

With Ross McCormack and Moussa Dembele having scored 36 Championship goals between them this year, Williams told the Official Forest Site in his pre game press conference, that whilst we had done our homework on their threat, he wanted the focus to be on us and our performance instead.

‘They`ve got two really good strikers who have scored goals for them this season, so that`s an area we need to be looking at. But the rest of it is going to be about how we approach the game. We are doing a lot better in my opinion – creating chances. Hopefully they will start going in and we can win the game.’

With travelling numbers expected for the game once more, Williams said he was determined to see the players give the fans a performance that would make them proud and produce a result that they could celebrate in the game given recent disappointments and how the season has fizzled out with earlier unbeaten hopes lifting everybody.

After four defeats on the trot, but now having back to back draws, Williams knows it’s time to get back to winning ways and the return of all three points.

‘First and foremost we need to get a win for the fans, and secondly for ourselves. As players and staff we have to perform on Saturday and make sure the fans go home knowing the lads have given it their all.’
