Widdow Says….

Last night I thought i was watching a Gary Megson team from last season. We looked lethargic, we struggled to pass the ball, the players didn’t really look like they cared, they didn’t have any real width, and they didn’t know how to play 3-5-2 (it was defiantly more like 5-3-2).

That performance was not fair to the fans who paid good money to follow Forest to Accrington, and it wasn’t a very good advert to the stay away fans watching on SKY to come back to the City Ground and help boost the attendances. We are not that well off at the club that we can afford not to do well in cup competitions

Calderwood has stuck by the back up players in the squad, and last night they let him and the fans down big time!

I hope the manager will have learned a few lessons from last nights defeat. I also hope Mr Doughty was watching too, and that they both understand, that we haven’t been moaning for moaning sake. Yes we have a biggish squad (but on Saturday I noticed Brighton’s was bigger) but we dont seem to have a quality squad (as was proved last night and time and time again last season), and we certainly haven’t got decent back up in key areas.

Hopefully these are some of things Mr Calderwood will have learnt from last nights defeat, and if we can rectify these problems now, then it could prove to be a good result!

-This team doesn’t play well under pressure!
-Padula in not good enough for the reserves never mind the first team. Get rid!
-We need another left back.
-Morgan struggles in a back three.
-I know he use to play for Brighton and he probably picked it up there but please tell Cullip to stop kissing and cuddling the opposition, at least till after the match.
-Curtis is not a wing back.
-If Eaden is not good enough to be on the bench last night, then get rid!
-Thompson is not a central midfielder.
-We need another right winger. Who can we play there if Southall is uanvailable! Eaden plays right wing for the reserves and he is defiantly not the answer!
-We need another left winger, Who can play there when Commons is injured? Certainly not Perch and he doesn’t seem to have faith in Bastians. Get David Vaughan in now!!!
-Get Clingan practicing his free-kicks and corners, or bring someone to the club who can take them (if Southall is ever out the side).
-SWD doesn’t look like he is ready, he needs to go out on loan along with Bastians, Gamble and Beaumont.
-Harris, no goals in 23 Forest appearances says it all. He did have some nice link up play. But we need a fast, strong, hungry goalscorer, and hes not.
-Get that new striker in. Billy Sharp would be an ideal signing!!
If he brings in a left winger we can start to play 4-4-2 again, when is Commons fit again?
-We need to improve and be more creative with our set pieces.
-Colin Calderwood must have a word with the Chairman and Chief exec and get in at least 3 quality players, (we only have less than a week and a half to the transfer deadline!).

IMO that display would make the rest of league one think we are quite beatable. Brining in some big signings now, would put the opposition on the back foot again

We cannot afford to be in this league for another season, other wise it will be a case of NOTTINGHAM FOREST…..Who are they?
