I think the word I’d use to best describe this tweet would be ‘cheeky’.

It didn’t cross any lines, nobody got hurt, and it was a nice bit of humour. All in all very good.

Nottingham Forest fans weren’t exactly best pleased with the display of referee Keith Stroud during the draw with West Bromwich Albion on Saturday, and there was one incident in particular that has been getting a lot of attention on social media.

West Brom midfielder Jake Livermore put in what some might call a ‘robust challenge’ on Forest defender Yuri Ribeiro only for him to escape without so much as a booking.

So in an act of, let’s call it ‘revenge’, the Nottingham Forest social media team felt the need to emphasise just how good a performance the Portuguese defender put in throughout the day despite the constant bombardment that he was under from the opposition.

Forest fans though weren’t sure which way to direct their admiration. Should it go to Ribeiro for his efforts, or the social media team for not backing down? In the end, they did both.

Was that game a 'six-pointer'?

Yes

No

No

Let’s just hope this ‘gloating’ doesn’t come back to haunt us.
