With the World Cup drawing nearer to its conclusion, it’s time to divert our attention towards pre-season and the forthcoming Championship campaign. And, to their credit, the boys started pre-season in the best possible manner last night.
Nottingham Forest defeated Lincoln Red Imps 5-0 in a pre-season friendly last night, as our preparations begin ahead of the upcoming season. These fixtures will allow for tactical refinement, and it will enable new signings to familiarise themselves with our style of play.
Here’s how Forest supporters reacted to the triumph on Twitter.
Keep up the good work lads!

Verdict:
Given the quality of our opposition, it isn’t surprising that we won the game. Nonetheless, most important of all was the fact that four of our five goals were scored by academy players. Moreover, the likes of Dias, Carvalho and Goncalves all featured, as the excitement begins to amass ahead of the start of the new season. Momentum is critical!
