West Brom striker and Republic of Ireland international Simon Cox, has today completed the paper work on a deal that sees him join the Reds’ on a 3 year contract.


The 25 year old has a proven goalscoring record in the Championship and will be seen a a major asset to Sean O’Dricoll’s rapidly evolving squad. Cox becomes the 7th new signing of the summer so far, with the possibility of another 2 additions completed by the weekend.


The fee to sign Cox from WBA is officially undisclosed, but it’s believed to be just over £2m. Forest beat a host of other clubs’ to the strikers signature including Celtic, Blackburn and Middlesbrough. Welcome to the City Ground Simon Cox.
