I wonder if we’ll be seeing similar scenes at the end of this season? *
Yesterday marked the anniversary of one of the happier days supporting Forest in recent years, celebrating promotion to the Premier League back at the end of the 1997-98 season away at The Hawthorns.
And although we finished bottom the following season, and haven’t been back since, when the club posted footage of that famous day when we were crowned Champions away at West Bromwich Albion, it gave fans a great chance to go down memory lane and talk about not just what a great day it was, but what a great season and team we had at the time.
@alanrog3 great memories https://t.co/Yu8dElBWUL

Can you imagine an Owner these days willfully dismantling the side that's just got promotion with ease. People go on about Fawsz, or 'the Platt years'…but it was the Wray/Scholar ownership that set our club back. We had The Golden Ticket 22 years ago today….but ripped it up.

Had we kept the squad together in 1999, would we have stayed in the Premier League that season?
Yes
No
*Well obviously not on the final day as I think we’re a bit far off the top two for us to be in that consideration. And we probably won’t be able to do it with fans in attendance because of the current circumstances.
So in that sense, we probably won’t get these scenes, but perhaps the players will be celebrating in a similar fashion.
