Forest manager Colin Calderwood was in an upbeat mood following the 1-1 draw at Elland Road. Despite taking the lead through a Julian Bennett header, Lucky Leeds pulled it back with a penalty late in the game.

Calderwood says his sides performance was deserving of all three points. He told the BBC. ‘The consequence is we don’t get the three points which I think we deserved. We still haven’t got the win but we take a lot from this, coming to Leeds taking a point and looking like we should have got all three. I think it’s a step forward – everything but the three points.’

The boss was also disappointed with the referee Mark Halsey and thinks the penalty decision given against Wes Morgan was harsh. He said. ‘I feel very sorry for Wes. He probably has got hold of the boy’s shirt but the boy has got hold of his shirt and it’s a fairly soft penalty to have to suffer.’

The point saw Forest slip down a place to 4th in the table and now lie 6 points behind Doncaster Rovers in the second automatic promotion place.
