Nottingham Forest are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Tyler Walker in the four nil victory over Queens Park Rangers at the weekend at the City Ground was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Walker was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Nottingham Forest emphatically saw off Queens Park Rangers at the City Ground, with Walker bagging a brace in the 4-0 win. The striker started and finished the scoring with two well-taken efforts in what was a dominant performance by Mark Warburton’s men.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Walker for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Darren Randolph (Middlesbrough), Zeki Fryers (Barnsley), Yoann Barbet (Brentford), Ben Turner (Burton Albion), Jordan Spence (Ipswich Town), Callum O’Dowda (Bristol City), Jacob Butterfield (Sheffield Wednesday), Ruben Neves (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Gary Madine (Bolton Wanderers), Leon Clarke (Sheffield United), Tyler Walker (Nottingham Forest).

Manager – Jaap Stam (Reading).
