Swansea will win promotion to the Championship today, if they beat Gillingham away at the Priestfield Stadium. Last night, Donny beat Swindon 2-0 to keep their chances of an automatic place alive.

The game of the day takes place at Elland Road where Lucky Leeds take on Carlisle, who still need four more points to claim the second automatic spot. A win for the Cumbrians will probably suit Forest best, just to maintain some distance between us and the Lucky Boys.

Forest can relax safe in the knowledge that a playoff place is guaranteed, if we beat Tranny Rovers and Walsall fail to beat Cheltenham. Easier said than done in our current form. Fourth placed Southend have what could turn out to be a tricky game at home to the Cobblers, who are clinging on to the slimmest of hopes in reaching the playoffs.

Down at the bottom, Luton will take a step closer to the trap door if they fail to beat Brighton at home. Port Vale find themselves in the same predicament, as they entertain mid table Huddersfield. The Gills face Swansea, who are having the gamed beamed back live to the Liberty. Shame they will have to wait for another week to celebrate officially, but a win at least means it would take an unmitigated disaster for them to fail in their bid for Championship football next season.
