Q- How long have you been following Forest and what got you started?

As a kid of about 8 or 9 I loved playing football. I lived down the meadows, just off London Road. Me dad was a Notts fan and took me down the Lane every now and then. When I was about 11 me and a couple of mates bumped into a gang of youths who were off down the City Ground…in those days (about 1972, I think) they opened the gates to the ground about 20 minutes or so before the end of the game and you could just walk in…this was considered a cheap night out for penniless local youths! I remember running through the gates and hearing the massive noise, nothing like my Meadow Lane experiences, I ran up the steps of the old East Stand ( now the Brian Clough Stand) and in my excitement lost all me mates. Did I care…did I heck!! Forest were playing West Ham and, on reaching the back of the stand, I saw the floodlights, then looked around at the crowd, then down at the pitch. The atmosphere was electric! The first thing I saw was Bobby Moore(who, I think, was England’s captain at the time?) taking a throw in right in front of me. I think Forest lost that night but so what…I became a Forest fan there and then and didn’t bother going down the Lane again even if it did piss me dad off! That night changed my life…and not always for the better!

Q-What is your most memorable moment as a Forest fan?

My first match and beating Liverpool in the League Cup replay at Old Trafford.

Q-Since you have been following Forest what would your Best Eleven be? And who is your all time favourite player?

Shilton

Anderson Burns Walker Pearce

Stone Wee Archie Bohinen Robertson

Collymore Francis.

Favourite player: John Robertson.

Q-What is would you say is the best goal you have seen Forest score?

I enjoy em all…

Q- Best away ground visited?

Old Trafford. Spurs in the F.A. cup a couple of years ago impressed me too…apart from the bar running out of beer before the kick off.

Q- What are your thoughts on the proposed new stadium?

Will be sad to leave the City Ground but we can’t live in the past. I’m just a bit worried about not filling it though…would make for a crap atmosphere.

Q- Are you pleased with the new signings made so far and is there any other player you would have liked to have seen us sign (realistically)?.

I’ve been impressed with the new signings. To be quite honest I don’t know much about the players available at this level so don’t know who else we could have signed.

Q-What are your thoughts on how last season ended and how did it compare with your expectations ?

The Yeovil game was mad…it rammed home the reality of Forest’s frailties but was surreal at the same time. I still think C.C. messed up big time that night and he still has to convince me he’s up to the job.

Q-Despite the new signings, are there any areas in the side you think need adding to?

New striker and a back up keeper.

Q-Where do you sit at the City Ground?

Trent End upper, 2 rows back and one seat in from the steps just behind the left hand goal post…LOVE IT!!!
