Various newspaper sources are today reporting that Forest are set to sign 19 year old Aston Villa youngster Marc Albrighton on loan for a month.

Villa boss Martin O’Neill, sees the youngster as one of his brightest prospects and definitely one for the future. From a Forest supporting perspective though, this seems a strange move, especially as it’s only for a month……AND HE ISN’T A DEFENDER!

It could however lend some credence to the rumour that Gareth McCleary is set for a loan move to Elland Road, or it could just simply be that he’s short term cover for the injured Radoslaw Majewski. Either way, the lad sounds like he could certainly do a job at Championship level.

  • a player for the future without a doubt, has been given the the number 14 squad number and is very close to becoming a regular with the villa. if he does sign for you then your fans will love him as i am very sure he will sparkle in the championship.

  • Lets not build him up too much, he did well in Pre-season and played well for the stiffs for a couple of years but he has yet to do anything of significant note for our 1st team. A couple of half decent sub appearances and an outing in Moscow.

Plenty of promise but lets not put too much pressure on the kid expecting great things from him. Positive move for him to get games in now. Lets hope he does well for Forest.
